Perhaps the number one reason why my work stands out is because I put energy and love into whatever I do! My clients continue to recommend me to their peers because I don't ever leave the customer dissatisfied and I listen to what they want the first time!
What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?
I want people to know that makeup artist are not the only one's capable of bringing the face back to life. A few lessons and 10 minutes spent practicing daily, can make anyone a master of their face
How did you decide to get in your line of work?
It all started in college with Mary Kay cosmetics and then progressed to learning from international artist around the globe. I knew I've always loved makeup and the way it made me feel so why not offer the art to the world. I reveal the woman's inner glow, hence the name...She Glows Artistry.
What are the latest developments in your field?
Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?YouTube is actually a huge sensation with makeup gurus like Michelle Phan and other self-made makeup millionaires out there. I think girls can learn a lot from YouTube if they take the time to practice.
If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?
PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE TILL IT HURTS! Do not stick with one ethnicity or face shape either! Get outside your comfort level and do some crazy trade for print stuff with your local photographers too!
My skin is oily. Will the makeup lasts throughout the day?
I use a fantastic skin primer under your makeup. I finish with a product that locks it all down and Amazonian clay to absorb any oil. I will send you off with rice papers and powder in a to go container to touch up every 4 hours if needed.
What is your greatest strength?
Humor and skill to look at one's face and play up their best assets.

Wedding job with 8 consumers involved, high fashion shoot and maternity shoot!
What do you like most about your job?
The ability to create a new fresh face for the world to see! My favorite moment is when the client gets out of their chair and just stares in the mirror and then burst into a smile and hugs me like I'm a miracle worker.
Do you have a favorite story from your work?
I had a client who was considering getting a rhinoplasty (nose job) done until I showed her the power of contouring! It's an art of adding depth and highlighting to planes of the face. It allows her nose to look more narrow and she has mastered the skill and has put surgery off the list!

Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.
I love doing maternity shoots and this one particular client hates makeup. She's naturally pretty but I knew minimal makeup applied the correct way would make her a believer. She loved the final reveal and was truly glowing in the mirror looking back at her. I was almost moved to tears by her reaction because she's a tough critic of herself.
What if I don't like the final look?
I will get out my makeup removers and we shall start over until you are satisfied
I don't want to look like a clown but I want to look made over! Is that possible?
It is actually highly requested. It's what we specialize in too. We will have you smiling in no time when you see the natural beautiful you revealed!
What are you currently working on improving?
Learning how to airbrush makeup and contour using the professional air gun correctly.

Any inside secrets to share?I'm a registered nurse but makeup artistry can feel just as rewarding at times. It's a passion of mine because it's fun to learn new skills and display them on the palette we refer to as faces. It's truly an art form with mediums, cool and warm colors plus with fantastic brushes we use!
What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
I'm one of the most laid back, serious professionals around. I will listen to your request and deliver. I have disciplined myself to learn how to apply makeup to all sorts of ethnicities, face shapes, eye shapes and it's amazing what beauty we all embody!
Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?
I usually go online to read on new skills/looks and I am studying airbrush makeup with a licensed esthetician as of now!
Describe your most recent project, what it involved, how much it cost, and how long it took.
I just tackled a wedding in December with a bride, 5 bridesmaids and 2 mother's of the bride needing makeup application. My other artists couldn't make the event due to the distance! I was terrified at first of time restraints. I organized and spaced everyone 30 minutes apart and pulled it off without a problem. All parties were ecstatic with the end results.
What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?What is it they want from my work?
Bring a picture if you need too. Natural or Diva status? Smokey, peachy, matte, earthy,....all of these descriptive words help me help you.
What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
The consumer should specify if they need the artist to travel to them. They need to specify if they have skin allergies. They need to say if they want skin care, brows waxed, airbrush, individual lashes and other specialties.
